Activities and Workshops
Students at the Santo Antônio Educational Center participate in complementary activities that, besides providing learning spaces, stimulate students' interest in social, environmental and cultural issues.

Art and Education
The art-education workshops stimulate different ways of artistic expression. The weaving and pottery workshops (partnership with Instituto Mauá), sports, theater, dance, digital inclusion and percussion, with support from the Social Development and Combating Poverty Secretary – SEDES guarantees the access to sports and professional initiation.
The workshops results are announced at CESA's Art-Education Festival, held annually. During the festival, workshop products are presented to the school community, authorities and partners who support the projects. Already in the Literary Tent, the works related to the incentive to the reading and extension of cultural repertoire are presented too.

Environmental Education
The promotion of favorable conditions for the development of concepts, procedures and attitudes more conscious of environmental preservation is a constant concern of CESA. Students participate in annual projects involving themes such as the conscious and responsible use of natural resources; care in the disposal of solid waste; actions to combat Dengue; replanting of seedlings and recycling workshops. The initiative also includes visits to the districts of the municipality and interviews with residents and employees.

Education for values
Respect for the different religious and community beliefs, preserving or rescuing values such as love, responsibility, tolerance, cooperation, simplicity and honesty. This is the proposal of the Living Values Project, which offers opportunities for reflection on the culture of peace and respect for diversity, thus contributing to the deconstruction of prejudices.

Health promotion
With a prominent role in the CESA program, actions to promote health include food supplementation, dental care and practice of sports. In addition to consultations and treatments with the dentist, the project contemplates a series of preventive actions, such as lectures and annual oral health fairs.

Orchestral Initiation
CESA organizes orchestral initiation courses for 251 children and adolescents, aged between 11 and 16 years old. It is a partnership with Neojiba - State Centers of Children and Youth Orchestras of Bahia. The idea is to encourage the interest in classical music and the art of playing an instrument, in order to contribute to the formation that integrates strengthening values such as responsibility, teamwork, respect and self-discipline.
