Know CESA
The Santo Antônio Educational Center (CESA) is one of the 21 service centers of the Irmã Dulce Social Works (OSID). Located in the municipality of Simões Filho, in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador, the unit, founded in 1964 by Sister Dulce, was born as an orphanage in which the nun from Bahia had children without a family reference. In 1994, it became a full-time school with focus on basic education quality. Nowadays is a reference in the good management practices aligned with principles of excellence in the educational area.
In partnership with the Education Secretary of the State of Bahia and the Municipality of Simões Filho, CESA serves around 700 children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability. With a model of education ranging from kindergarten through ninth grade. The Center also offers access to art education, digital inclusion, vocational training, sports activities, dental care, food, uniforms and school supplies free of charge. The complex also has a sustainability unit, the Bakery Center, which is responsible for the production and marketing of various types of bread, panettone and other products, whose sales revenue is fully reverted to the maintenance of its activities.

Full-time education
The pedagogical proposal of CESA involves plans by areas of knowledge, which add the teaching potential of complementary activities. Through the project De ojo no Futuro, the educators and management team undergo training in didactics and structure of the areas of knowledge; discussion of development theories; cognitive psychology and reflection on praxis. In addition, the project contemplates the pedagogical accompaniment to students with low income.
