Reborn Group - Through leisure and recreational activities, the ‘Reborn group’ provides the elderly with a return to their role in the family and society. Its members participate in activities such as ‘samba de roda’ (the dance), choral, theater and June’s gang (typical of Saint John’s party), in addition to educational lectures that awaken to the citizenship, autonomy and independence of the elderly person.
Cognitive Evaluation - The service installed at the Geriatric Center serves elderly people with memory disorders and Alzheimer's disease patients, intervening early and registering for the medication provided by the Health‘s Ministry.
Parkinson's Outpatient Clinic - Parkinson's disease patients are accompanied by a multidisciplinary team, formed by professionals in the areas of Geriatrics, Neurology, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Nutrition and Social Work. Patients are also referred to a specific medication unit at health clinics.
Elderly Address - With 72 beds, the Elderly Address gathers residents in a situation of vulnerability. Many of her residents, some of whom have been in the institution when Irma Dulce was still alive, lived in social risk conditions before coming to the unit, because of either mistreatment or financial difficulties. At the address, the goal is to provide a home for these elderly people and to encourage the maintenance of the referral link.
